Ellis



OMAHA - Era Jane Ellis, 92, of Omaha died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at her residence.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Janet Blackburn and Lynn Loe officiating. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ellis was born on May 11, 1916, in Dalton. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Omaha and a member of United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Herschel White of Fort Worth, and Karen and Tommy Richey of New Boston; six grandchildren, Kennen and Joanna White, Amy and Chuck Wangner, Alan and Lisa White, Kiersten Richey and her fiancé Emil Rapstine, Shane and Juliet Richey, and Jon and Lindsey Richey; seven great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and John Padermos of Kennedale; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hugh Ellis; three brothers, Victor, Frank and Ray Wommack; and two sisters, Anne Landrum and Laverne Beasley.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
