Organista



Albino Organista, 54, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, in Tyler.

Services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at 909 W. 9th Street Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant with Bro. Norberto Otero officiating. Interment will follow at Edwards Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Josh Carillo, Ruperto Bello, Rafael DeLa Cruz, Fidel Organista, Felicito Carmona, and Alejandro Vargas.

Mr. Organista was born on March 29, 1954, in Alcapulco, Mexico. He was employed with Pilgrim's Pride as a sanitation technician and was a member of 9th Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Ofelia (DeLa Cruz) Organista of Mount Pleasant; two sons, Carlos Organista of Mount Pleasant and Ricardo Organista of Dallas; three daughters, Maribel Organista of Mount Pleasant, Claudia Organista of Greeley, Colo., and Esther Organista of Greenville; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Maria Inez Bello of Mount Pleasant; three brothers, Fidel Organista of Elmore, Minn., Leobardo Organista of Mount Pleasant, and Hermilo Organista of Nashville, Ark.; and two sisters, Rosa Ruiz of Mount Pleasant and Humberta Organista of Xaltianguis, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ignacio Organista, and his father, Ignacio Organista.

The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 9th Street Church of Christ.
