TALCO – Rita Nell Savage, 52, of Talco died Sunday, February 17, 2013 in Tyler. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Talco Bethel Church of God in Christ with Elder Troy M. Brown officiating and where Supt. J.E. Smith is the Pastor. Interment will follow in Piney Cemetery in Mount Pleasant under the direction of Tumey Mortuary in Mount Pleasant.

Mrs. Savage was born October 20, 1960 in Mount Pleasant to Elmer Ray and Nola Lee (Dabbs) Savage. She was a member of Talco Bethel Church of God in Christ in Talco.

She is survived by two daughters, Amanda Savage and fiancé Gabriel Kelley of Pittsburg and Ashley Savage of Talco; one son, Alvin James Savage of Talco; six grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Charles and Betty Savage, Marcus and Carolyn Savage all of Mount Pleasant, and Craig and Samantha Savage of Paris; five sisters and one brother-in-law, Vickie Pogue, Terri Savage, Janice Savage, and Mary Savage all of Talco, and Teresa and Earl Brannon of Mount Pleasant; uncles, Jerry Wayne Savage of Mount Vernon and Geary Don Savage of Talco; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

No formal visitation with the family is planned; however, Mrs. Savage will lie in state from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
